Maintenance Technician - Fort Smith, AR

Have working knowledge and ability to perform skilled work as a mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot dry offset printers. Have the basic knowledge of PLC and Vision Systems. Demonstrate competence and knowledge of safety rules and practices. Demonstrate good communication skills with various levels within the organization.

Major responsibilities:

  • Knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot process/plant equipment
  • Perform preventive/routine maintenance compressors, fork trucks, oilers, and filters
  • Ability to repair and troubleshoot 3 phase 480v
  • Ability to repair and troubleshoot process controls – PLC & instrumentation controls
  • Accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Semiskilled in: work as machinist, electrician, HVAC technician
  • Perform complete start-up of production run
  • Perform form tooling and shear maintenance
  • Setup drum and shear tools during changeovers
  • Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment
  • Drum stand removal & installation
  • Drum wheel, extrusion die and lip change
  • Semi‐skilled in: welding, plumbing, carpentry
  • Performs other designated duties of the quality system as assigned.

Education: Degree in Industrial technology.

Required: 5 years' of Electrical and PLC experience.  3 years’ experience in maintenance production machinery.  Basic knowledge of extrusion, vacuum systems, material transfer, air systems, preventative maintenance, safety equipment, fork trucks, & plumbing.

Work schedule: This position is on a rotational schedule (2-2-3) which allows for every other weekend off.   Also, you do not rotate from days to nights; you're either on day shift or night shift.
